Technological development in aquaculture: use of Technical Gases in fish-farming

Abstract
The use of pure oxygen in fish farming is a technology known for some time, but the development of new injection technologies and above all new control and optimization systems are areas in which the evolution is constant, both for open waters and in closed basins. Nippon Gases, with a leading position both in the Mediterranean and in Northern Europe, has always been a witness and promoter of this innovation.
The use of ozone in water disinfection is also an emerging technology, especially with a view to greater reuse and recirculation of wastewater, without the burden of further deposits or chemical residues.
Other gases can be used in refrigeration and logistics of livestock and products.
