In application of Article 6 of Presidential Decree 430/2001, point 1 paragraph A
Exclusions from prize events as they are held for the production of scientific works as well as for the presentation of projects or studies in the commercial and industrial areas.
The undersigned company PORDENONE FIERE SPA with headquarters in Viale Treviso 1, 33170 Pordenone (PN), VAT number 00076940931, in order to source projects and researches useful for the development of technological solutions in aquaculture to be put forward during the international event called AQUAFARM, intends to organize the below specified Contest, named

1. Researchers and / or research groups, that must appoint a contact person.
2. Innovative START UPs established after 01 January 2017, which present functionally complete prototype solutions ready to be put on the market.
AWARDS
All Contest Recipients submitting the project will be granted the opportunity to exhibit, within a reserved area open to the public, a poster (70×100 format, printed and delivered by the Participant) illustrating scientific research or technological solutions yielded by the project itself.
The 3 winners:
– will have the opportunity to attend AQUAFARM 2022 on 25 and 26 May with a desk in the area dedicated to the Contest,
– will receive a cash prize, by way of reimbursement of expenses, in an amount equal to:
1st place € 1500
2nd place € 1000
3rd place € 500
which will be handed over during the award ceremony at the end of the event on 26/05/2022.
In order to register for the “AQUAFARM 2022 R&D AWARD” Contest, we indicate below the mandatory procedure to follow:
Document 1.
In case of scientific research:
A scientific paper in PDF format of up to 40,000 characters (4 folders) that illustrates the objective of the research, the followed methodology and the applicability of the results within the plants (costs, times, etc.).
In the case of a START UP:
A PDF document of up to 20,000 characters (2 folders) illustrating the characteristics and functioning of the technological solution and the advantages derived from its application.
Document 2.
In case of scientific research:
A poster in PDF format, of 70×100 size, which summarizes the contents of the paper, with an emphasis on its applications and developments.
In the case of a START UP:
A poster in PDF format, of 70×100 size, which summarizes the technological solution and the advantages of its application.
Document 3.
Waiver for the publication of materials during the event in the dedicated area as supplied on this same page.
Document 4.
Registration form supplied along with the forms downloaded on this page.
WARNING: fill in and send the correct “Registration Form” document according to your category (Autonomous Researcher, University Researcher, Startup).
Document 5.
In the case of a START UP:
Self-certification that the company was established after 01 January 2017 and therefore has not been in business for more than 5 years at the deadline for submitting the application form (20 April 2021).
Researchers and start-ups ensure that the research or technological project are original.
They must also ensure that nothing sent is opposed to the law, by way of example, but not limited to, that the content of the materials is not obscene, defamatory, blasphemous, racist, child pornographic or in violation of intellectual property rights, moral rights, copyrights, or rights protecting the personal data of third parties, publication rights and, in general, which respects the provisions of the Copyright Law (law 22 April 1941 n.633 and following edits).
It must be ensured that all the consents and waivers for the use and dissemination of the material sent by other persons involved were obtained and that therefore the treatment of the same by the Promoting Company will not result in the violation of the rights of third parties.
In the event that even one of the requirements is not met, the application will be rejected.
During the period indicated in this regulation, the Promoting Company will invite the Recipients of the Contest to participate in the initiative by publishing web banners with direct links to the site www.aquafarmexpo.it, and promoting the competition with a campaign of communication to all the contacts at their disposal.

At the end of the participation period, 20/04/2022, the materials will be reviewed and evaluated by an independent and technical jury, composed of at least three people and established by Pordenone Fiere Spa in collaboration with API – Associazione Piscicoltori Italiani (Italian Fish Farmers Association) and AMA – Associazione Mediterranea Aquacoltori (Mediterranean Association of Aquaculturists), as well as accessible on page ”AQUAFARM 2022 R&D AWARD” of the website www.aquafarmexpo.it.
The jury will anonymously analyse the entries and will decide, based on the participation parameters below, a ranking:
For the research:
For start-ups:
A score between 1 and 10 will be assigned to each parameter: the total sum of the votes will determine the final ranking.
The selection of the finalists will be determined exclusively by the judgment expressed by the above mentioned jury, which will meet by 04 May 2022: the decisions taken by the same will be unquestionable and unassailable.
In case of a tie, the papers will be compared and reviewed.
By May 12, 2022, the first 3 classified will be notified by email (using the address provided during registration), of the selection results.
Candidates must confirm acceptance of the participation proposal, by sending to basei@fierapordenone.it:
– copy of a valid document and tax code;
– telephone number;
– declaration of acceptance.
by May 18, 2022, under penalty of exclusion from the Contest.
It is specified that:
Participation in the Contest implies full acceptance of the regulation without any reservation.
Any attempt to scam and any inaccurate or false declaration implies immediate disqualification.
Pordenone Fiere spa declares that:
– the processing of personal data will be carried out as indicated in the privacy policy document, available in the website www.aquafarmexpo.it at the page Privacy Contest;
– the complete Contest regulations are also available on this page;
– employees and family members of Pordenone Fiere spa, of the jury in charge of the evaluation and of companies connected to it (for example API and AMA), as well as all minors, are excluded from participation, besides all minors.
Pordenone Fiere Spa will endeavour to ensure that the website and the display of its contents are available without interruption, but cannot be held responsible in any way, for any reason, if the website is not accessible and / or operational at any time or moment.
Access may also be suspended temporarily and without notice in the event of system failure, maintenance and / or repairs or for reasons completely beyond the control of Pordenone Fiere Spa or for events of force majeure.
